Three queer artists making handmade, heirloom-quality plush & collectibles: welcome to Nightengale Needles!

Nightengale Needles, LLC is a small business with a big heart. Since 2008 we’ve been making custom artisan plush, fanart plush, pride scarves and pride merch from our home studio. And after over 15 years of business, everything we sell is still hand-made by just the three of us.

People in the queer and LGBTQ+ communities, people in the neurodivergent communities, and people who are allies of those communities - everyone needs to know they’re not alone when facing the world outside their computer, but for these communities, our communities, that’s a particularly hard fight. So we make a particular effort to offer LGBTQA+ PRIDE themed items, especially of the flags in the ace-spec, aro-spec, and gender-diverse families.

We’ve sold at over 200 in-person conventions and events, a handful of virtual ones, and our Etsy shop has over 5000 sales and a proud 5-star rating.

We intend for every piece we make for you to last a long time, so everything we make is made with durable materials. Plus, almost all of it is machine-washable and baby safe, thanks to elements like commercial-grade locking safety eyes and noses and double-reinforced seams! Whenever possible, we avoid glue and fragile fabrics like acrylic felt, so that your items will withstand years of handling and cuddling without damage.

We really, truly believe that nobody should have to live without joy, and that a strong community is the best way to grow that joy in your life and in others’ lives as well. Whether you find it in your job, your hobbies, your connections, or your collectibles, joy and warmth of the heart are essential to living a fulfilled and forward-facing life.
